At Peritos Foundation, rehabilitation is one of the most vital steps in our rescue process. Many of the animals we save are not only physically injured but also emotionally traumatized. Our rehabilitation efforts focus on restoring both body and spirit, helping each animal recover from their past and prepare for a better future.

💉 Physical Recovery

Most animals come to us in critical condition — hit by vehicles, abused, neglected, or suffering from chronic illnesses. With the help of experienced veterinarians, we provide surgeries, medications, and continuous medical care to bring them back to health. But healing doesn’t stop there.

🧠 Emotional & Behavioral Healing

Emotional scars often run deeper than physical wounds. Animals who have been mistreated frequently struggle with fear, anxiety, or aggression. Through patience, structured care, and behavioral therapy, we help them regain trust in humans and rediscover a sense of safety and love. Each small breakthrough is a step toward transformation.

🐕 Socialization & Reintegration

Rehabilitation also involves socialization — slowly introducing animals to new environments, people, and sometimes other animals. This helps them rebuild their confidence and develop the social skills they need to adapt to a loving home. Our goal is always to prepare them for successful adoption into caring, forever families.

🤝 Together, We Heal

Every act of kindness creates a ripple of change. At Peritos Foundation, we believe in a world where animals are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Your support — whether through donations, volunteering, or advocacy — helps us continue this life-saving work.

Thank you for being part of our mission to heal, protect, and rehome those who can’t speak for themselves.
